Baseline assessment, impact assessment, construction and operations management plan and monitoring surveys.
Projects for Worley Parsons on behalf of Australia Pacific LNG.
BAAM commenced detailed migratory shorebird baseline surveys in 2009 for the Australia Pacific LNG Project on Curtis Island. BAAM subsequently prepared the migratory shorebird management plan for the project, including impact assessment.
BAAM has since been conducting regular monitoring surveys since June 2011 to monitor the success of management actions and measure impacts to meet State and Commonwealth government conditions for development of the facility. Impacts have been quantified through a comparison of post-construction and baseline populations to inform the biodiversity offsets strategy for the project.
All baseline and monitoring surveys meet the detailed requirements of EPBC Act survey guidelines relating to migratory shorebird assessments.
