Ko Oishi is an ecologist with BAAM.  His previous experience has been working as a UNEP funded Canopy Scientist studying the vertical distribution and beta diversity of arthropods in Lamington National Park. This work required the collection of arthropods using a Ground Based Rescue System (Double Rope Ascension) and sorting of arthropod assemblage into order/family.

He has also worked with Sustainable Minerals Institute, Centre for Mined Land Rehabilitation as a Vegetation Surveyor on North Stradbroke Island.

Since joining BAAM he has developed a working knowledge of identification of the flora of Queensland through field experience and has monitored the translocation of threatened species for a major road upgrade project.
