Fauna management plans for groups and individual speciesBAAM has prepared Fauna management plans for groups of species as well as for individual species. Fauna may be directly or indirectly impacted by development activity or existing features such as roads and fencing. Development and conservation planning often require the management of fauna species, most often for species of conservation significance listed under Commonwealth or State legislation, or those that have significance in a local context. Fauna management plans take into account the range of existing and potential threats to target species and provide a series of actions designed to eliminate or reduce those threats and impacts. BAAM also prepares Species Management Programs that specifically address the management of animal breeding places to meet the requirements of the Queensland Nature Conservation Regulation (2006). |
